GIS Data in SESAM
GIS Maps are an integral part of system maps. Static objects as well as dynamic objects are placed on the GIS maps.
Whenever an alarm occurs, the graphical display of an icon representing the end unit will be updated according to its status.
The GIS maps can contain various types of data: road maps, street maps, regions, counties, countries, rivers and water sources, various points of interest. Each object located on the GIS map holds GIS data: X,Y,Z coordinates, name, description and additional relevant data.
The GIS map is performing as a powerful synoptic map, which holds GIS abilities in addition to the general synoptic map features.
SESAM GIS enables tracking movement of dynamic objects such as vehicles, pedestrians and any other objects carrying GIS transmission devices. |
What is GIS?
GIS allows us to view, understand, question, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports, and charts.
A GIS helps you answer questions and solve problems by looking at your data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared.
GIS technology can be integrated into any enterprise information system framework.
